This is not just a job; it’s an opportunity to contribute to a vital function within the company, ensuring that machines never stop due to tooling delays.

About the job:

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our clients operations, collaborating closely with your team to achieve seamless workflow and efficiency. Your key responsibilities will include:
 
  • Assemble, measure, and disassemble tooling for Milling and Turning machines according to the master schedule.
  • Utilize existing tooling sheets and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain high quality and consistency.
  • Monitor tool wear upon return and ensure the upkeep of fixtures.
  • Stay ready to respond swiftly and efficiently when tooling is needed on short notice.
  • Work closely with Engineers on the shop floor to facilitate seamless operations.
  • Acquire skills to operate essential machinery such as the Tool Pre-Setter, balance machine, and shrink machine.

About you:   HND/Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Knowledge of 415V 3 phase power would be essential. Knowledge of AC & Servo motors. Electrical installation experience. Automation (PLC, VSD’s, HMI’s) experience would be a significant advantage. 18th edition is advantageous but not essential. IPAF licence advantageous.
