About the Role
Our well-known client renowned for their quality products are seeking a Chargehand for their site based in Bordon.
This is a varied, fast paced and hands on role - responsible for the safety, quality standards and productivity of a team of operators refurbishing temporary buildings ready for re-hire. Duties include, but are not limited to:
The successful candidate will be organised, resourceful, have excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills and be an experienced team leader/supervisor with the capabilities to motivate, train and develop a team whilst ensuring work is up to quality standards, productivity is maximised and orders are dispatched on time.
Previous experience might include yard supervision, hire centre supervision, joinery or manufacturing team leader/supervision, or construction supervision/management.
In return, you’ll receive a salary of £35,753 per annum.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday; 7:45am – 4:30pm and Friday; 7:30am – 3:30pm.

- Scheduling of refurbishment works and reviewing delivery timescales in line with client requirements
- Stock management of materials, ensuring stock levels are replenished
- Responsibility for ensuring workmanship quality adheres to technical specifications and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and/or Company Procedures/Policies relating to Health and Safety, inclusive of COSHH
- Carry out toolbox talks and H&S briefings
- Check accuracy of paperwork, e.g. drawings and specifications
- Complete pre delivery quality inspections and audits prior to despatch

About the role & candidate:
This role will support the purchasing team with various administrative tasks, including report generation, raising purchase orders, maintaining database records, and liaison with various other departments across the business.
This role would suit a candidate with a strong administrative background - ideally from a manufacturing or engineering background - with some knowledge of supply chain or purchasing principles. Being proficient in the use of MS Office is essential and ideally you will have experience working on ERP or MRP systems. You'll also be highly organised, be able to communicate effectively verbally and written, have the ability to work well as part of a team.

Design Engineer

Cubed Talent is pleased to offer a new opportunity for a mechanical design engineer to join our client; a specialist in the design, manufacture and install of mechanical handling equipment, with over 40 years' experience in the industry.
As design engineer, your role will be focused on assisting in the design of customer projects, included but not limited to site surveys, equipment/machinery design and installation support.
This is a small business with strong foundations; supported by a large global group specialising in capital equipment manufacture. You'll join an experienced team of 5 within the design department, supported by the technical and general managers.
Key responsibilities include:
To design & produce detailed drawings using 3D SolidWorks & 2D AutoCAD.
Preparation of workshop, layout and Installation drawings.
Preparation and supply of installation documentation.
Purchase and control of project outsourced items.
Liaise with customers, vendors and other third parties.
Assist the production team in the fabrication & assembly of manufactured items - on design related matters.
Assess cost and methods of work for efficiency improvements throughout the production process.
Some UK and overseas travel may be required as part of the site survey and installation stages. This is expected to be no more than 3-4 times per year, for 1 to 2 weeks at a time. All travel expenditure would be covered by the company in these circumstances.
Candidate specification:
You'll be an apprentice trained mechanical engineer with experience of designing using SolidWorks and 2D AutoCAD. Ideally, you'll be from a background of mechanical handling or machinery manufacture, but this is not essential provided you have experience designing mechanical components. You'll have the ability to design mechanical equipment from scratch and design new concepts, as well as improve and refine existing designs.
