Please note - an NVQ Level 3 required in an engineering discipline is required for this position.
We’re currently hiring multiple Skilled Mechanical Fitters for a 12-month fixed-term contract, working on sub-assemblies for high-performance machinery.

About the Role
Based in Wortley, Leeds, this is a varied and practical position across the assembly department.
Typical duties include:

Mechanical assembly of machinery and tooling to customer specifications

Fault diagnosis, testing, and quality checking

Collaborating with engineers and supporting semi-skilled colleagues

Maintaining a clean, safe, and audit-ready workspace

Assisting apprentices and mentoring new starters

Escalating issues and contributing to problem-solving investigations
Pay: £34,710 per annum (£17.80/hour)
NVQ Level 3 required in an engineering discipline

These are 12-month fixed-term contracts offered directly with the client. Many team members have had their contracts extended or made permanent — while not guaranteed, there are often longer-term opportunities for the right people.
About You
We’re looking for practical, hands-on individuals with strong hand tool experience and confidence working with mechanical components and assemblies.
A great attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail are key.
Ideal backgrounds include motor mechanics, machine building, or mechanical assembly — whether through previous jobs or personal projects/hobbies.
No formal qualifications are required — just solid mechanical skills and a willingness to learn.
