What You'll Be Doing
Leading, coaching and developing the Manufacturing Engineering team, including setting and reviewing objectives aligned to operational goals
Designing new systems, equipment and processes to support new product introduction across all operational areas
Working cross-functionally from initial product conception through to full industrialisation and production
Supporting Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA) development meetings
Leading the review and tender stages for new capital equipment -defining technical specifications and working with Purchasing to secure the best outcome
Developing and maintaining PFMEA documentation, updating as processes change
Managing budgets and maintaining financial and statistical records in collaboration with Finance
Liaising with R&D to ensure new products are production-ready with the correct equipment and processes in place
Evaluating and improving manufacturing processes with a focus on quality, efficiency and speed
Championing change management and embracing SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) across all projects
What We're Looking For
Qualifications & Knowledge
Degree in Manufacturing Engineering (essential); other engineering degrees will be considered
Understanding of metalworking processes and assembly operations
Working knowledge of Engineering and Manufacturing BOMs (eBOM/mBOM)
Understanding of no fault forward by design principles
Six Sigma training desirable but not essential
Experience
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment covering discrete part manufacture and assembly operations
Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a senior engineering role
Experience in project management and cross-functional working

Proficient in CAD (2D and 3D) — AutoCAD and Siemens NX preferred

What You'll Be Doing

This is a varied and commercially important coordination role sitting within the Sales department, offering real breadth across customer service, data and KPI reporting, order processing and internal liaison.

About the Role
One of our clients, a leading West Yorkshire freight forwarder, is seeking an experienced Customs Broker to join their dedicated customs team based in Bradford.
Supporting a key client account, this role is responsible for the accurate preparation, submission, and management of import customs entries from initial declaration through to cargo release and invoicing. The team processes approximately 1,500 import customs entries per month, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced customs professional who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment.
This is an immediate requirement for someone with strong customs knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and submit import customs entries using CargoWise and the Customs Declaration Service (CDS)
Ensure customs declarations are completed accurately and in compliance with all customs regulations and client requirements
Monitor customs entries throughout the clearance process and proactively resolve any issues that may delay cargo release
Liaise with customs authorities, government agencies, carriers, and other stakeholders regarding examinations, holds, and documentation requirements
