What We're Looking For
  • Level 3 qualification in Joinery / Carpentry (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a joiner, bench joiner or carpenter in a workshop, manufacturing or site environment
  • Confident reading drawings and working to specification
  • Good eye for detail and quality of finish
  • Able to use hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery safely
  • Reliable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a production team

The work requires accuracy, consistency, and the ability to operate at pace without compromising weld quality. You’ll be working from engineering drawings and production instructions throughout.  Day-to-day responsibilities:  MIG welding of mild and galvanised steel structures, varying thickness up to 10mm  Inspecting welds against quality standards and specifications  Carrying out snagging, repairs, and remedial work to a high standard  Visual quality checks — identifying and reporting defects or production issues  Working from engineering drawings and production instructions  Drilling, cutting, and measuring as required  Using hand tools, grinders, and welding equipment safely and effectively  Maintaining a clean, safe working environment in line with H&S procedures  Supporting production targets while upholding workmanship standards  About You  This role suits an experienced MIG welder who takes quality seriously and is comfortable working at production pace.
