I am currently working with family run precision engineering company founded in 2001. They are now looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to set, edit and operate Star Sliding Head Lathes, creating precision engineered parts for the Oil & gas, Medical and Food industries to name a few.
What's on offer:
Experienced CNC turner required for Star sliding head lathes using Fanuc controls. Programming experience advantageous but not essential. Would suit somebody who has recently completed an apprenticeship, or a time served/apprentice trained machinist with good values and work ethic.

- Producing high precision batch work components anywhere from 10 off to 10000+ off.
- Setting and operating using Fanuc controls
- Producing parts from various general engineering and exotic materials such as Brass, Aluminium, stainless steel, Duplex’, Phosphor bronze, Inconel and more
Skills Required
- Experience setting and operating fixed or sliding head lathes
- (The ability to program is advantageous but not essential)
- Previous experience working within a high precision manufacturing environment.
- The ability to read and Interpret engineering drawings
- Must be Self-motivated, dedicated and able to work under own initiative.
- Team player who is willing to help others if and when needed

The Role
Project Responsibility from the start to the final SAT sign off.
Primary interface between Customers and internal stakeholders.
Progressing design engineering, operation’s and customer support department to ensure project objectives are being achieved.
Responsible for customer project review meetings and objectives
Responsible for achievement of factory acceptance test sign off.
Maintaining communication with the customer on project status including.
Preparation and maintenance of project plans and other project related documentation.
Travel throughout the UK as required to achieve the project objectives.
Responsible for project costs in accordance with approved project budgets.
What will you bring to the role?
Strong experience in managing customer projects.
A technical understanding and approach to engineering projects.
Experience in manufacturing and/or industrial automation industry.
MS Project and Microsoft Office.
Leading the commissioning of special purpose machinery.
A recognised Engineering qualification, alongside a project management qualification such as Prince 2.

RECRUITING NOW FOR A SOFTWARE/CONTROLS ENGINEER - BRADFORD BASED.
We are looking for a Software / Controls Engineer to work in our well-established bespoke machinery building client in Shipley. You will be working through the entire project life cycle from communicating with the customer and advising on automation solutions, all the way through to designing, building, and commissioning on site.

Roles & Responsibilities
UK wide commissioning role.
Based in Bradford
Specify, design, program and maintain control systems including PLCs, Robots, HMIs, networks, and drives.
Predominantly working with Omron Sysmac and Omron Robotics.
Upgrading existing systems with new automation solutions.
Involvement or leading in designing electrical projects to a customer specification.
Involvement or leading in writing PLC and Robot code to a customer software specification.
Carry out installation and commissioning of new, bespoke automation solutions.
Sourcing and specifying of appropriate components.
Reporting to the Senior Controls Engineer.
Required Skills and Experience
Formal engineering qualifications, HNC or above required. Degree level qualifications ideal.
A strong background in electrical work, with a good understanding of Mechanical systems.
Use of servo motion in PLC programs is required.
Robotics programming experience is desirable, preferably on ABB, Fanuc and Staubli.
Programming experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens is advantageous.
Experience and Ability to program in PLC structured text.
Your strong analytical mindset, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will make you a valuable asset to the team.
