Cubed Talent is proud to be partnering exclusively with a growing precision engineering business in Guiseley to recruit an experienced CNC Turner. Highly competitive basic salary – up to £45,000pa depending on experience
Basic annual leave entitlement of four weeks, including Bank Holidays
A highly attractive - additional two weeks/80 hours of leave or convert to salary benefit. Potential value – additional £1,730 per annum or two weeks leave or combination of.
Flexible hours available – so long as 40 Hrs fulfilled Mon-Friday.
Annual/Christmas bonus – subject to business performance
All hours over 40 – paid attract overtime premium
About the Company and group
Our client is a well-equipped and invested in precision engineering company – assets include: Haas Milling Machines, Doosan CNC Lathes, Haas ST-20Y mill turn lathes - with a further Doosan 2600M currently being acquired.
Although a third generation heritage business – the company now forms part of a larger, highly diverse and fast growing group – with automation, robotics, M&E, FMCG, specialist engineering, R&D/NPD and turn key/end to end projects forming the wider portfolio.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the full turning process from start to finish, including:
Programming CNC lathes using Alphacam CAM software
Setting and operating Doosan and Haas lathes
Machining a variety of materials including aluminium, stainless steel, specialised steels and brass
Handling batch sizes ranging from one-off prototypes to production runs of up to 400 parts
De-burring, quality checking and final inspection of finished components
Working both independently and collaboratively within the turning team
Other skills/attributes
Strong, proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes - Doosan and Haas specifically
Experience machining a range of metals to tight tolerances
The ability to manage the full manufacturing process autonomously
Experience on mill turn lathes would be a distinct advantage
A reliable, quality-focused approach and the ability to work well in a small team
