About the role:
As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll be the backbone of the production operation, ensuring that the machinery runs smoothly and efficiently. From conducting PAT testing to ordering machine spares, your expertise will keep our processes running like clockwork. You'll have the opportunity to develop new ideas to enhance machining and production processes, making them more cost-effective and efficient. Key responsibilities will include:
- Read and interpret electrical drawings to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct PAT testing across the site and maintain records using PAT guard software.
- Log work orders on Shire CMMS to track machine history and maintenance.
- Order machine and factory spares as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
- Perform planned maintenance on machines to prevent downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Provide training on factory machines to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Coordinate with outside contractors for machine servicing and maintenance.
- Utilise your knowledge of pneumatics to maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
- Develop machines, both electrically and mechanically, to improve processes.
- Take an active role in Health & Safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment.
About you
- Flexible electro/mechanical engineer, adept at handling a variety of tasks
- Apprentice Trained/Time served Engineer
- Recognised qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 18th Edition
- PAT Testing
- Previous experience with antiquated machinery and the ability to modify to enhance OEE

Pay Rates
Pay rates increase with skills development - realistic opportunities to rise to the level 3 rate within 4-6 months after starting, depending on how quickly full competence is achieved.
Starting rate - Level 1: £12.60/hour
Level 2: £12.66/hour
Level 3: £13.59/hour
Overtime Pay:
Time and a half (1.5x) for hours over 37.5, Monday–Saturday
Double time (2x) for Sundays & Bank Holidays
What You’ll Be Doing
Assembling parts using hand tools and machinery
Reading and working from technical drawings
Producing components and sub-assemblies
Keeping your workspace clean and organised
Performing basic preventative maintenance
Troubleshooting and resolving assembly issues
Ensuring all components are accurately fitted and assembled

Materials Handler with FLT Counterbalance

Cubed Talent are pleased to be recruiting for one of our long-standing clients based in the Shipley area. Our client is looking to appoint a materials handler to join their current team on a permanent basis due to continued growth.
We are looking for someone who is capable of working within a fast-paced engineering stores or despatch environment, to ensure materials are unloaded, decanted and located as required, and picked and issued ready for production. There is potential for this role to develop into a team leader position over time, heading up a small team.
Duties will include:
Unloading vehicles in a safe and timely manner
Checking supplier paperwork matches what is being delivered and quantities match order
Ensuring material locations are correct and recorded on the computer system
Moving material locations and maintaining the layout of materials
Supply Production with their raw material requirements in a timely manner
Consult with Production to check packaging stock requirements
Responsible for the Saw (Setting, Checking and cleanliness)
Conduct perpetual Stock checks throughout the year as required
Strapping pallets for despatch
Loading the van for deliveries (strapping the pallets down)
Other general warehouse and site duties as required
About you:
Previous experience in a similar role
Holds an FLT Counterbalance license (accredited)
Holds or has previously held a FLT Reach license
Good teamwork and work ethics to work in a small tight team
