We are partnering with a well-established and highly respected engineering organisation specialising in the design and manufacture of complex, high-precision machinery used globally. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Shipley.

This is a key role, responsible for interpreting customer specifications and designing bespoke machinery solutions. You’ll create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings, generate accurate BOMs, and provide technical support across Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales and after-sales functions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret customer requirements and ensure machine orders are issued into manufacture on-time and in-full
• Produce 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings (components, assemblies, installation, pneumatic/hydraulic circuits, etc.)
• Generate and maintain BOMs in both MRP and PLM systems
• Support ongoing design improvements and product development
• Assist Manufacturing, Assembly and Quality teams during build and testing stages
• Provide technical input to Sales and Project Management for quotations, specifications and customer discussions
• Assist with document creation, machine manuals, SOPs and ECNs

About You:
• Apprentice-trained Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer
• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering
• Strong 3D and 2D CAD skills – ideally Siemens NX
• Experience creating detailed BOMs and using MRP/PLM systems
• Knowledge of BS8888 standards and design for manufacture principles
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
• A meticulous, organised approach with strong problem-solving ability

Previous experience in special purpose machinery is beneficial but not essential.

Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Assembly Engineer to join their assembly team based in Wortley, Leeds on a permanent basis. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for producing, fitting, and testing high-quality electrical wiring and assemblies for OEM machinery—ensuring safety, precision, and compliance with industry standards. What You’ll Do Assemble and test electrical systems for high-speed machinery to customer specifications. Read and work from complex schematic diagrams. Ensure all documentation and quality standards are maintained. Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities (5Y/8D).
