The Role
Ensure all health and safety standards are maintained at all times
Prepare and share detailed quality reports, highlighting areas for improvement and tracking progress
Ensure all personnel are adequately trained to deliver quality processes
Guarantee suitable equipment is available and maintained for quality requirements
Drive effective supplier (Sub-Con) development to minimise non-compliance, cost, and delivery issues
Champion APQP/PPAP capabilities within NPI and production processes
Oversee FAIRs for NPI, process changes, and production requests
Challenge existing processes to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and cost control
Monitor product measurement equipment to ensure timely calibration in line with QMS standards
Ensure all international, national, and customer specifications and standards are up to date and accessible
Stay abreast of innovations, quality practices, and industry trends to continually improve systems
Provide quality team input to daily production dojo sessions
Identify and manage the notification process for any non-compliant product escapes to customers
What You Will Bring to the Role
Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or substantial experience in an engineering discipline
Proven experience as a Quality Manager within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage teams
A genuine passion for quality management and commitment to staying current with industry standards and regulations
