Walking the Talk: Cubed Talent Takes on 100 Miles for Mental Health

Cubed Talent is taking on the 100 Mile Challenge in support of the Mental Health Foundation, promoting wellbeing and mental health awareness.

At Cubed Talent, we know that looking after your mental health isn’t just about big gestures. It’s about the small, everyday things that make you feel good, whether that’s getting outside for a walk, listening to music in the car, or curling up with a good book.

In October, we celebrated World Mental Health Day by sharing how our team members prioritise their own well-being. From dog walks on the moors to long runs, from sketching and painting to moments of mindfulness, our people opened up about what helps them recharge and find balance.

As Stella shared, “I think of scenic views as I go to sleep to help me relax and go to my happy place.”
For Raj, “Painting, sketching, organising my space, and working out at the gym with loud music help me unwind and relax.”
And for Jess, “I like to get lost in a really good book or sing my heart out in the car.”

Every story was a reminder that mental health looks different for everyone, and that’s what makes it so important to talk about.

Taking the Next Step

This November, we’re putting those values into action. The Cubed team is taking part in the 100 Mile Challenge in support of the Mental Health Foundation.

We’ll be walking a combined 100 miles over the month to raise awareness, start conversations, and support the Foundation’s vital work.

Walking gives us time to connect, reflect, and breathe. It brings the team together in a way that goes beyond the workplace. Whether it’s a lunchtime stroll, an evening walk with the dog, or a weekend hike in the hills, every step adds up to something bigger.

As Priyen put it, “Once a year, I try to pull off a silent meditation retreat that includes three days of no phones, no emails, no external stimuli, just spending time in the hills.” That sense of peace and presence is what we’re walking for.

Join Us on the Journey

We’ll be sharing our progress throughout November, including the early morning steps, the team miles, and yes, even the occasional soggy Yorkshire walk.

You can cheer us on, take part in your own 100 mile challenge, or donate to support the Mental Health Foundation Fundraiser. Every contribution helps fund research, education, and community programmes that make a difference to people’s lives.

Together, we can help build a world where good mental health is a reality for everyone.
