About the Role
Are you a meticulous planner with a knack for optimising production processes?
Our client, a pioneering name in automotive camshaft and crankshaft processing systems, are seeking a skilled Production Planner to join their dynamic team in Cross Hills.
You will play a pivotal role in enhancing production efficiency, minimising delays, and ensuring seamless collaboration within our machine shop planning department. Your expertise will be crucial in driving our operations forward, ensuring we meet the diverse needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
- SAP Expertise: Plan and schedule all manufactured parts through SAP, ensuring the timely fulfilment of machine assembly, aftermarket, spares, and subcontract requirements.
- Data-Driven Planning: Extract and analyse live data from SAP to develop and continually improve sales and operations planning reports. Align these with business objectives to drive key stakeholder decision-making.
- Advanced Excel Use: Leverage your advanced Excel skills to analyse complex datasets, creating clear, comprehensive reports and dashboards that present data in an accessible format to relevant stakeholders.
- Production Monitoring: Monitor SAP work-in-progress transactional data to ensure it aligns with company schedule requirements and production commitments.
- Weekly Production Plans: Generate and maintain weekly production plans using SAP/Excel, supporting day-to-day planning activities for materials, resources, and kitting to optimise operational efficiencies.
- Continuous Improvement: Work alongside the FLL SAP Analyst to manage, maintain, and develop master data and the SAP planning module, driving ongoing improvements.
About You:
- SAP Proficiency: You have extensive experience with SAP, with a deep understanding of the system, and a passion for expanding and sharing your knowledge.
- Excel Expertise: Your advanced Excel skills include formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualisation tools such as graphs and charts.
- Analytical Mindset: You possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and enable stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Attention to Detail: You are meticulous in managing and analysing data, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of reports.
- S&OP Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
- Problem Solver: You excel at finding solutions to complex problems.
- Effective Communicator: You have excellent communication skills and are able to juggle a busy workload while staying organised.
