We are working in partnership with a leading manufacturer who specialise in packaging for a number of industries and is one of the Uk’s largest manufacturer in it’s sector. They have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join their existing team.
The main purpose of the role will be to ensure all PPM/TPM is complete, make recommendations for modifications to achieve OEE.

The Role
- Fault find, diagnose and repair on a variety of machines including autoclaves/moulding, hot wire cutting machines and others.
- Resolve machine breakdowns promptly to ensure maximum throughput to meet customer demand.
- Working with pneumatics and hydraulics
- Experience in mechanical maintenance on motors, bearings, pumps, valves, mechanical drive systems & hydraulics
- PPM / TPM activities
- Recommended machine modifications to enhance OEE and increase productivity
- This role includes an on-call rota (1/3 week, on rotation, Mon- Fri up to 10pm, on-call enhancement paid, any hours worked on call paid at an enhanced rate)
The Candidate
- Will hold a Level 3 mechanical qualification or equivalent
- Experience as a maintenance engineer within a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics
- Experience of working safely with electrical
- Ability to priories jobs to reduce downtime
- Must be able to commit to the on-call rota (currently 1 week out of every 3)

Quality checking parts using Mitutoyo CMM
Contributing to lean manufacturing and delivering operational efficiencies within their cell
Reporting any non-conformance and support the quality department when investigating the root cause
Working on batches of 50-110 plus
Working to tight tolerances (Microns)
Machining Aluminium, Inconel, Titanium and Steel
The Candidate
You will hold an Engineering Qualification and have significant experience in CNC Machining
Ability to work from Engineering drawings
Passionate about working to 'right first time' standards
Experience of CNC milling
Ability to work in a positive/collaborative culture where continuous improvement is paramount.

Picking/packing goods ready for dispatch

About you:
You will be over 25 years of age, with no penalty points to meet the fleet insurance requirements.
Experience of delivery driving, driving a long wheel based van

A valid FLT Counterbalance licence would be advantageous

About the role:
Working closely with the Quality Engineer you will support all functions of design and manufacture, liaising with internal and external sales to assist with new projects.

The Role
Project Responsibility from the start to the final SAT sign off.
